"Harisma"-Christina Ioakeimidi
Participation by mfi
Without having anything to do with filmmaking, Christina Ioakeimidi when he was 23 years old, was working on a short film, "Morning fall" by Dennis Iliadis. "This is it" she said. The world of cinema took her by the hand and brought her to England where she studied at a school founded by “Monty Python”. She stayed there for a while and she shot some short films.
Returning to Greece she worked in the Panos H. Koutras’ first film, "Attack of the Giant Moussaka." Then she went back to England to study at London Film School and eventually she went back to work in advertising.
She was an assistant director to Koutras in "Strella" and to her husband George Nousias in the horror movie "Evil." Among all this, she found time to write the script of her first feature film entitled " Harisma ".
In "Harisma" the central character is Ismene (played by Vaso Kavalieratou), a 30 year old teacher who, feeling emotionally empty, allows people to come too close to her. Shortly before an eventual collapse, her fate will be turned around when an older man invades her life.
